  • 1 cup basmati rice, soaked for 30 minutes
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 tablespoons ghee or oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Method:

  1. In a large pot, heat ghee or oil and sauté sliced onions until golden brown. Remove half of the onions and set aside for garnishing.
